Images for magazine

These are my images i have took for my magqazine. These images will be used on my front cover, contents and double page spread.
When taking the photos i tried to use of wide range of camera angles and movement. Ive decided the i would like a full body shot for the front cover, a close up for the double page spread, and a medium close up for the contents page. I tried to develop my idea of doing this when taking the photos to make sure i had lots of different poses.

Masthead fonts

These are some fonts that i may use for my front cover, contents and double page spread. I like these fonts because theyre all bold and stand out, and that is what i am aiming for.
The font i have chosen to do for my front cover is 'C.O.D.E.R' i have chose this one because it stands out a lot, and will be very noticable on my front cover.

Mock up of front page

This is my mock up of what my front cover page will look like. By doing this it will help me put everything together on my magazine when creating it.

When doing my first draft of my magazine i will change the font and colour, because i do not like the colour of this, i think its a bit too bright and the font makes it a little less readable. When taking the photos i will also not do a close up like this because the photo takes up a lot of the magazine so the coverlines will appear over the image making the image not look as good. Instead of doing all the coverlines on the left hand side i will spread them out between the left and right side, but still having the main coverline on the left hand side.

Focus Group- Audience Research

This is my go animate video of the questions i asked a member of my class too find out what they would like to see in magazine.
From doing this i found out useful things that will help me making my magazine, for example what they would like in the magazine and what they look for (images, interviews). It also helped me decide when i would publish the magazine, and how the context would change if the magazine was published monthly rather then weekly.

Focus Group Questions

These will be the questions i ask in my focus group. Each answer will help me develop my ideas when creating and planning my magazine.

1. Do you read music magazines?
2. What do you look for in music magazines?
3. What things would you expect to see in a music magazine?
4. Do you buy them weekly or monthly?
5. If you were to buy the magazine monthly would you expect to see a glossy cover and interviews with bigger artists?
6. Do you like them to include free downloads?
7. Do you like them to include posters?
8. How much would you pay for a music magazine including all these features?
